The branching paths of each stage can lead to some minor backtracking annoyances but there are tons of optional gems to collect (used to upgrade abilities) and a handful of secrets to find in each area. Ayo the Clown is something of a rarity a pure 2.5D platform game set across bite sized linear stages.
This is a very competent and enjoyable platformer even if the control is a little loose and levels are a little long. But do not dismiss or scoff at the kiddie clown visuals.
